PRESS RELEASE APPLIED RESEARCH NORTHWEST SELECTED TO CONDUCT ENVIRONMENTAL SURVEY FOR KING COUNTY Applied Research Northwest (ARN) was recently selected to conduct the Environmental Behavior Index Survey on behalf of King County’s Department of Natural Resources and Parks. The purpose of the Environmental Behavior Index (EBI) is to measure behaviors that are tied to goals and programs conducted by Department of Natural Resources and Parks (DNRP). The results of the survey will help King County to assess whether there are any changes in people’s behavior over time and will also help to check on the effectiveness of their outreach campaigns and policy changes. The survey will be conducted with 800 randomly selected residents of King County ARN has been charged with refining the survey and targeting specific populations to help improve representativeness of the findings. “We are excited to be a part of this important research,” said Pamela Jull, PhD. “King County is demonstrating environmental stewardship through research that can serve as a model for other agencies and organizations.” ARN’s research team was an appropriate selection for this project as inquiry and research into environmental behavior is a fast growing segment of their business. ARN is a social research firm based in Bellingham WA. ARN’s mission is to help non-profit and government agencies answer important questions to improve their work in the community. ARN’s services include telephone, internet and mail surveys, focus groups, polls and program evaluation. |
